Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Design Specification Engineer to develop, review, and manage technical specifications for engineering and manufacturing projects. The role involves close collaboration with design, production, and quality teams to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed design specifications, drawings, and documentation for projects.
Ensure all specifications comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ISO, ASTM, ASME, BIS).
Collaborate with design, R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure accurate implementation of specifications.
Translate customer requirements and project briefs into technical documentation.
Conduct design feasibility checks and support in design validation and verification.
Manage and update material specifications, and design data sheets.
Provide technical support to suppliers, vendors, and project stakeholders regarding specifications.
Participate in design reviews.
Ensure proper documentation control and version management.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of engineering design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Solidworks etc.).
Excellent understanding of international codes and standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Industrial Engineering (or related field).
[2–5] years of experience in design specification, drafting, or engineering documentation.
Experience in infrastructure / manufacturing / fabrication / construction industry preferred.
Knowledge of quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.) is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
