Job Title: Pre-Sales Executive – Solar Solutions
Department: Sales / Business Development
Location: Little Mount
Experience: 1–4 years (solar/technical sales preferred)
Role Overview
The Pre-Sales Executive will support the sales team by understanding customer requirements, designing solar solutions, preparing proposals, and providing technical and commercial support to convert leads into successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with potential customers to understand energy requirements, site conditions, and budget constraints
- Conduct initial feasibility analysis for rooftop or ground-mounted solar installations
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, including system design, cost estimates, and ROI calculations
- Coordinate with engineering teams for system sizing, layout, and technical validation
- Deliver product presentations and explain solar solutions to clients (residential, commercial, or industrial)
- Assist the sales team in client meetings, negotiations, and tender submissions
- Handle RFQs/RFPs and prepare documentation for bidding processes
- Maintain CRM records of leads, proposals, and customer interactions
- Stay updated on solar technologies, government policies, subsidies, and industry trends
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy) or related field
- Basic understanding of solar PV systems and components
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and proposal preparation
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, client-friendly manner
Preferred Skills
- Experience in solar EPC or renewable energy industry
- Knowledge of solar design tools (e.g., Helioscope, PVsyst)
- Understanding of net metering policies and regulatory frameworks
- Exposure to commercial/industrial solar projects
