The Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lathe machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with workplace safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate conventional or CNC lathe machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine settings.
- Machine components to specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Measure finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment malfunctions.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Keep the work area clean and organized following 5S and safety practices.
- Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
