Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and capable Project Manager – Mechanical to lead and manage our industrial project at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
The candidate will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, coordination, monitoring and successful completion of HVAC, piping, utility and sanitary works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, within budget, on schedule and according to the required quality standards.
Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical construction/project management.
- Strong experience in HVAC, Piping, Utility, Plumbing/Sanitary and MEP works.
- Experience in industrial projects, factories, manufacturing facilities or large-scale construction projects will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, execution, manpower management, procurement and subcontractor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Take overall responsibility for the successful execution of the mechanical works.
- Prepare and implement project execution plans, work schedules and manpower plans.
- Plan daily, weekly and monthly activities according to project requirements.
- Develop work sequences and coordinate activities to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and take corrective action where required.
- Ensure all works are completed within the agreed time, cost, quality and safety requirements.
- Identify potential project delays and develop recovery plans.
Mechanical Works Management
- Manage execution of:
- HVAC ducting and equipment installation
- Utility piping
- Process/industrial piping where applicable
- Plumbing and sanitary systems
- Equipment installation
- Pipe supports and related works
- Testing, commissioning and handover activities
- Review drawings, specifications, BOQ and project requirements.
- Ensure site execution follows approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Coordinate with engineering/design teams regarding technical issues and drawing discrepancies.
- Monitor installation quality and ensure proper inspection and testing.
Cost & Commercial Management
- Monitor project costs and control unnecessary expenditure.
- Track manpower, material and equipment costs.
- Monitor project productivity and identify areas for cost improvement.
- Coordinate with the commercial team regarding variations, additional works, measurements and claims.
- Review work quantities and ensure proper documentation for billing.
- Assist in preparing progress claims and supporting documentation.
Quality Management
- Ensure all mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate with QA/QC engineers for inspections and testing.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspection and testing activities.
- Monitor installation quality and rectify defects/non-conformities.
- Ensure testing, commissioning and handover documents are completed properly.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Plan and coordinate testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure all systems are tested according to project requirements.
- Coordinate with client/consultant for inspections and approvals.
- Ensure all punch-list items are closed on time.
- Coordinate preparation of as-built drawings, test reports, O&M documents and handover documents.
- Ensure smooth project completion and final handover.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word and project planning/reporting software.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and work under pressure.
Leadership Expectations
The Project Manager must be a strong and hands-on leader who can effectively manage engineers, supervisors, workers, subcontractors and suppliers.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹110,000.00 per month
