Job Description:Senior Network Engineer
Reporting to: Manager
Location: Andheri,Mumbai
Experience Required: 5 - 8 years of experience.
Job Purpose/Summary:
Managing core IP Telephony services.
Key Responsibilities:
· To design, implement, support, and maintain the organization's IP Telephony systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of voice communication platforms. The role also involves troubleshooting, integrating with other communication systems, and contributing to the overall unified communications strategy.
· Design & Implementation
||Configure, deploy, and maintain IP Telephony systems (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Avaya, Microsoft Teams Voice, etc.).
||Design dial plans, call flows, and voice gateway configurations.
||Implement VoIP and SIP-based solutions for internal and external communication.
||Operational Support
||Monitor performance and availability of voice systems.
||Troubleshoot call quality issues, dropped calls, and endpoint configurations.
||Manage voicemail systems, auto-attendants, and call routing.
||Integration & Collaboration
||Integrate IP Telephony with collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex).
||Work closely with network, security, and service desk teams to ensure seamless voice services.
||Maintenance & Upgrades
||Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and system migrations.
||Maintain redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery configurations.
||Documentation & Compliance
||Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and policies.
||Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, and telecom regulations.
· Integration with the IPFX contact centre and presence solution.
· Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) also known as Cisco Call Manager (CCM) is an enterprise grade IP communications system covering core functions required for enterprise call routing and control.
Key Performance Indicators:
Implementation of IP Telephony services, Maintain System Uptime, Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) Voice Incidents, Call Quality Score (MOS)User Satisfaction Rate, Number of Dropped Calls, SLA Compliance (Incident/Request Response)
Qualification: B.E (EXTC)
Functional Skills/Competencies:
· 5-8 years of experience in IP Telephony / Unified Communications roles.
||Hands-on experience with major platforms like:
Cisco CUCM, Unity, UCCX, Expressway,Avaya Aura, Microsoft Teams Voice, Ribbon / SBCs
||Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323, RTP).
||Familiarity with QoS, VLANs, and WAN optimization for voice.
||Understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, TCPDump).
||Relevant certifications (preferred):
||Cisco CCNP Collaboration
||Avaya ACIS / ACSS
||Microsoft Teams Voice Engineer Associate
||Experience using tools like Qualys, Nessus, SolarWinds, or other audit/compliance platforms.
Behavioral Skills/Competencies:
Perfect communication in English, End-user service-oriented, Good Interpersonal skills, Ability to work under pressure, Rigour and synthesis, Advanced level of troubleshooting skills
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
