Senior Sales Executive - International Logistics
Job Summary
The Sales Executive – International Logistics will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding the customer base for international freight forwarding and logistics services. The role involves promoting air freight, sea freight, customs clearance, warehousing, and end-to-end supply chain solutions to clients, while ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in international logistics, freight forwarding, and supply chain services.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, digital platforms, and client visits.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers.
- Promote international air freight, sea freight, land transportation, customs clearance, warehousing, and value-added logistics services.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Understand customer shipping requirements and provide customized logistics solutions.
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and business reviews.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and service agreements.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers.
- Follow up on inquiries and convert leads into business opportunities.
Coordination & Operations Support
- Coordinate with operations, documentation, and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Support clients with logistics planning and shipping requirements.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Identify new market opportunities and customer segments.
- Provide market feedback to management for business growth strategies.
Collections & Reporting
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from customers.
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer information in CRM systems.
- Submit periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market updates to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Additional certification in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, shipping, or supply chain sales.
- Experience in Air Freight, Sea Freight, NVOCC, Customs Clearance, or Freight Forwarding sales is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of international shipping and logistics processes.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Customer-focused with excellent relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
- Good understanding of Incoterms, freight pricing, and international trade practices.
Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in International Freight Forwarding, Shipping, NVOCC, Air Cargo, or Logistics Sales.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
