About the Program:
JEEVIKA is a flagship rural livelihood initiative implemented by the Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society under the Government of Bihar. The program focuses on strengthening rural livelihoods, empowering women through self-help groups, and improving service delivery through digital platforms and technology-driven systems.
Role Summary:
The System Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure supporting the JEEViKA project. The role involves ensuring the smooth functioning of servers, networks, and system environments to support project applications, MIS systems, and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of project applications and services.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Perform regular system backups, updates, and patch management.
- Ensure security of systems through firewall management, antivirus updates, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Coordinate with developers, database administrators, and MIS teams to support system requirements.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, network setups, and operational procedures.
- Ensure data protection and system reliability through regular maintenance and monitoring.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education
- B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field
- BCA or MCA or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualification relevant work experience in system administration or IT infrastructure management.
- Experience supporting enterprise systems, MIS platforms, or large-scale IT environments will be preferred.
- Experience working with government or development sector projects will be an added advantage.
Skills Required & Other Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of system administration and IT infrastructure management.

- Familiarity with network management, LAN/WAN configuration, and system security practices.
- Experience with server setup, virtualization environments, and backup systems.
- Understanding of IT security, system monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Basic knowledge of database connectivity and application hosting environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple IT systems and ensure continuous availability.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and program teams.
