KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Creation & Organic Marketing (core focus from day one)
- Design posters, flyers and banners for products, offers, festivals and promotions using tools like Canva/Photoshop.
- Shoot, edit and post short-form videos and reels for Instagram, Facebook and YouTube Shorts — product demos, offers, behind-the-scenes, customer testimonials.
- Plan and maintain a content calendar for all social media pages, planned at least a few weeks in advance.
- Write captions, hashtags and post copy in the brand's tone of voice for every post.
- Post consistently across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and other channels, and respond to comments and DMs.
- Build and maintain a portfolio of posters, flyers, reels and other creatives produced, for review and feedback.
- Run organic lead-generation activity through WhatsApp broadcasts/status, Instagram/Facebook posts, community groups and engagement — no paid spend.
- Maintain the Google Business Profile — keep it updated, respond to reviews, and manage listing information.
- Track organic engagement metrics — reach, likes, shares, comments, saves and follower growth — and share a weekly summary.
Paid Campaigns (added later, once organic content skills are proven)
- Set up and monitor small paid campaigns on Meta/Google Ads under guidance once organic content quality has been demonstrated consistently.
- Track basic paid campaign metrics such as cost per lead, cost per click and reach, and report on results.
- Scale budgets and campaign scope gradually as results and confidence in the candidate's skills grow.
Telecalling & Customer Engagement
- Call every new lead promptly, within a set turnaround of it being generated — from digital marketing, walk-ins, referrals or any other source.
- Ask qualifying questions to understand requirement, budget and timeline before pitching.
- Make scheduled outbound calls to the existing customer database for renewals, repeat purchases and seasonal offers.
- Handle inbound calls and WhatsApp queries, answering product and pricing questions accurately.
- Log every call in the CRM/call tracker — call outcome, next follow-up date, and lead status (hot/warm/cold).
- Send WhatsApp/SMS/email follow-ups after calls, with catalogues, price lists or payment links as relevant.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, store visits or demos as needed to move a lead toward a purchase.
- Escalate complaints or unresolved issues promptly to the right person rather than letting them sit unresolved.
- Periodically re-engage dormant or lost leads with a fresh offer or update rather than letting them go cold permanently.
Sales & Business Development
- Explain product features, pricing and current offers clearly and persuasively on calls and in person.
- Close sales over phone, WhatsApp or in person, and follow through to payment/delivery.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within the existing customer base.
- Work towards daily, weekly and monthly targets for calls made, leads converted and revenue generated.
- Track competitor pricing, activity and objections raised by customers, and share this with the team.
- Collect customer feedback and testimonials after a sale to use in future marketing.
Other Responsibilities
- Support offline/on-ground marketing activity — distributing flyers, setting up stalls, supporting events or promotions.
- Assist with other operational tasks such as data entry, basic market research, and vendor or supplier coordination.
- Take on any other task assigned by management as the business needs evolve — this role is expected to be flexible.
- Be available to travel locally for promotions, events or customer visits, if required.
