Roles & Responsibilities:
A Experienced Civil Supervisor with expertise in execution and supervision of Civil works for Electrical EPC projects, particularly Substation and Transmission Line projects (11kV to 220kV and above). The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site activities, supervising manpower, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and supporting timely completion of project work in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
Key Result Areas:-
1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities at project sites.
- Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor quality of ongoing work and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Coordinate with engineers and subcontractors for smooth execution.
2. Manpower Management
- Allocate work to masons, bar benders, carpenters, operators, and helpers.
- Monitor manpower productivity and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure discipline and adherence to company policies at site.
- Resolve day-to-day workforce-related issues.
3. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
- Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) to the Project Manager.
- Maintain records of daily activities, manpower deployment, and work status.
- Update weekly and monthly progress reports as required.
- Highlight delays, constraints, and corrective actions to management.
4. Quality Control
- Ensure all civil works comply with approved drawings and quality standards.
- Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, shuttering, and finishing activities.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and quality checks.
- Rectify non-conformities identified during inspections.
5. Safety Compliance
- Ensure implementation of safety procedures at the work site.
- Conduct toolbox talks and promote safe work practices.
- Ensure usage of PPE by all workers and subcontractors.
- Report unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions.
6. Material Management
- Monitor daily material consumption and prevent wastage.
- Coordinate with Stores Department for timely availability of materials.
- Verify received materials and maintain proper records.
- Report shortages and material requirements to management.
7. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Engineers, QA/QC, Planning, and Stores teams.
- Maintain effective communication with contractors and client representatives.
- Support smooth execution by resolving site-related issues promptly.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide status updates.
8. Documentation & Record Keeping
- Maintain site registers, inspection records, and progress documents.
- Preserve work records for future reference and audits.
- Ensure timely submission of reports and supporting documents.
9. Project Milestone Achievement
- Monitor work progress against project schedules.
- Identify bottlenecks affecting project timelines.
- Take necessary actions to ensure completion of work within target dates.
- Support successful completion and handover of project activities.
Educational Qualification:
Diploma in Civil Engineering / ITI Civil / Equivalent qualification.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of civil works related to Substation and Transmission Line projects.
- Ability to read civil drawings and layouts.
- Experience in foundations, control room buildings, cable trenches, equipment foundations, and drainage systems.
- Knowledge of concrete works, reinforcement, shuttering, and finishing activities.
- Manpower handling and team coordination skills.
- Understanding of safety procedures and quality standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and report preparation.
Work Experience:
2–5 years of experience in Civil execution for Transmission Line and Substation projects (11kV to 220kV and above).
Salary:
As per Company Standards / Negotiable and no bar for right talent.
