I want to see a working proof-of-concept that brings live mapping into the Salesforce Mobile App for field sales team. In this PoC the app should:
- Continuously capture a rep’s GPS position and write it to Salesforce so I can track sales representatives in real time.
- Offer simple beat-planning: the user selects today’s accounts/leads and the map lays them out in an ordered call plan.
- Produce an optimized route between those stops and display it on the embedded map.
I am open on the mapping stack (Google Maps SDK, Mapbox, or native Salesforce Maps) so long as it runs inside the standard Salesforce Mobile container and you can package everything to install in a sandbox. A lightweight custom object for location logs is fine; Apex, LWC or Visualforce is up to you.
Acceptance for this PoC:
1. An unmanaged package (or metadata in Git) that I can deploy.
2. A short demo video showing the mobile workflow from location capture to route display.
3. Setup notes so an admin with no code background can repeat the configuration.
Keep the solution lean—this is only a feasibility exercise—but make sure the tracking, route optimisation and beat planning all function end-to-end.
