Job Location: Goa (North Goa / South Goa)
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Client Acquisition: Identify, pitch to, and onboard new HORECA accounts (4/5-star hotels, standalone premium restaurants, shacks, cafés, and caterers) across Goa.
- Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with Executive Chefs, F&B Directors, Purchase Managers, and restaurant owners to pitch ingredients/food products for menu integration.
- Sales & Target Achievement: Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales volume and revenue targets for both primary and secondary sales.
- Distributor & Logistics Coordination: Partner with local food distributors and delivery networks to ensure optimum stock availability, timely deliveries, and zero supply chain gaps.
- Product Demos & Sampling: Conduct product samplings, live kitchen demonstrations, and tasting sessions alongside chefs to showcase product utility, yield advantages, and quality.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor pricing, trade schemes, and new product launches in the Goan food service market and share timely feedback with the management.
- Outstanding Recovery: Monitor credit limits and ensure timely collection of payments from institutional clients to keep bad debts to a minimum.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Graduate in any stream; a degree/diploma in Hotel Management or Food Technology is a major plus.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience in B2B/HORECA sales specifically within the Food & FMCG industry (e.g., dairy, frozen foods, spices, bakery ingredients, sauces, or staple supplies).
- Goa Market Knowledge: Deep geographic understanding of Goa's hospitality hubs (Calangute, Candolim, Baga, Panaji, Margao, Colva, etc.) and an existing network of contact points with local chefs and purchase managers.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and commercial calculation skills (calculating margins, food cost benefits, etc.).
- Language: Fluency in English and Hindi. Knowledge of Konkani or Marathi is highly advantageous for dealing with local businesses.
- Must-Have: Must own a two-wheeler/vehicle and hold a valid driving license for daily extensive field travel.
