Job Description
We are looking for an AutoCAD Draftsman to prepare and modify accurate mechanical and electrical drawings for our manufacturing operations. The candidate will work closely with the Engineering and Production teams to ensure drawings meet project and manufacturing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and modify 2D AutoCAD drawings as per engineering requirements.
- Prepare fabrication, assembly and component drawings.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Prepare drawings based on engineering inputs and design requirements.
- Make revisions and incorporate engineering changes accurately.
- Maintain proper drawing numbering, revisions and documentation.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams regarding drawing requirements.
- Ensure dimensions, specifications and annotations are accurate.
- Prepare DXF files for laser cutting where required.
- Support production teams with drawing-related clarifications.
- Maintain organized records of drawings and revisions.
- Follow company quality and documentation procedures.
Required Skills
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical/electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances and basic drafting standards.
- Basic knowledge of DXF files and sheet-metal drawings.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/Excel.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of transformer manufacturing, fabrication or sheet-metal work will be an advantage.
Qualification
Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical qualification.
Experience
0–2 years of experience preferred. Freshers with good AutoCAD skills may also apply.
