Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Executive to manage receivables for government clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in invoicing, payment follow-up, reconciliation, government billing processes, and maintaining strong relationships with client finance departments to ensure timely collections.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and submit invoices accurately and on time for government clients.
- Track outstanding receivables and follow up on pending payments.
- Coordinate with government departments regarding invoice approvals, payment status, and documentation.
- Perform customer account reconciliations and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, collections, credit notes, and payment schedules.
- Ensure compliance with government billing procedures and contractual terms.
- Prepare Accounts Receivable aging reports and collection status reports.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Finance) to resolve payment-related issues.
- Monitor payment milestones and ensure timely collections.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist during internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Finance.
- Experience handling receivables for government clients or public sector organizations is preferred.
- Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and GST documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software (SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of government procurement and payment processes.
- Experience with e-invoicing and GST compliance.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet collection targets.
