Safety, Security, Health & Sustainability
The Occupational Health Physician develops and executes occupational health programs to meet regulatory requirements, to support the Corporate Health Policy and to protect and promote employee’s health. The position is based at Bangalore and supports ExxonMobil operations at all locations in India. The position reports to the Global Occupational Health Manager and works closely with Business Line management.

Delivers and supports the implementation of the Company’s global health practices, common systems, and programs including health risk assessments.

Advise and work collaboratively to achieve compliance with health regulations and policies.

Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations of employees to assess their fitness for work, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries and illnesses.

Provide and/or oversee travel health including vaccinations and primary care services for all employees.

Develop and implement health surveillance programs to monitor the health status of workers exposed to occupational hazards.

Prepare for and execute emergency medical response, actively participate in country Emergency Support Group when required.

Support the corporate Alcohol & Drug policy including provision of Medical Review Officer activities and case management.

Provide clinical management of work-related illnesses and injuries.

Exhibits leadership in safety and health initiatives within the organization.

Develops business plans and budget for programs and services.

Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution and full registration with the Indian Medical Council with valid practicing license.

Post graduate medical qualifications (preferably in Internal or Emergency Medicine) with relevant qualifications and training in Occupational Medicine.

Highly articulate with excellent command of written and spoken English. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary and/or cross functional team.

Time flexibility and capacity to work within global time zone environment, while appreciating the 24/7 nature of this industry. Ability to discern business client priorities and respond via consistent and reliable implementation of established centralized systems and processes across workforces and businesses in varied cultural, geographic, and economic landscapes.

An understanding of telehealth or familiarity with supporting cases remotely.

Relevant work experience in a multinational organization as an Occupational Health Physician/ Chief Medical Officer will be an advantage.

Demonstrated leadership proficiency with experience in leading effective teams.

Excellent ability to network and build relationships with local health authorities and community health providers.
