Key Responsibilities
- Operate conventional lathe machines (and CNC lathe, if applicable) to manufacture precision machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Perform turning, facing, boring, threading (internal & external), grooving, chamfering, drilling, and taper turning operations.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and measuring instruments.
- Set up workpieces and ensure proper alignment before machining.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
- Measure finished components using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, Thread Gauge, Height Gauge, and other precision instruments.
- Ensure components meet drawing tolerances and quality standards.
- Report any dimensional deviations or machine abnormalities immediately to the Production Supervisor.
- Maintain production records and job cards accurately.
- Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures and use PPE at all times.
- Maintain proper housekeeping as per 5S standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce machining defects.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
