Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchase Associate to manage procurement activities, vendor coordination, and ensure timely availability of materials/services. The role involves sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining inventory levels efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:Procurement & Sourcing:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers and vendors
- Obtain quotations and compare prices
- Prepare purchase orders and follow up on approvals
- Ensure timely procurement of goods and services
Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues
Inventory & Coordination:
- Track inventory levels and avoid stock shortages
- Coordinate with internal departments for requirements
- Ensure proper receipt and inspection of goods
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain purchase records, invoices, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist in audits and reporting
Cost Control:
- Monitor procurement costs and identify savings opportunities
- Ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
- Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Zohoo etc.)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supply chain or logistics
- Knowledge of GST and invoicing processes
- Familiarity with inventory management systems
