As a Physiotherapist at Manipal Hospitals, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitation programs for patients suffering from various physical impairments or disabilities. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based physiotherapy treatments aimed at restoring movement, improving function, and enhancing overall quality of life for patients. Your role will include conducting thorough evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physical abilities and rehabilitation needs.
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment results, goals, and patient preferences.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, exercise programs, and electrotherapy.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
- Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting evaluations, progress, and modifications to treatment plans.
- Stay updated on the latest physiotherapy techniques, research, and best practices through continuous professional development.
Skills and Tools Required:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Physiotherapist.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills to identify patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Proficiency in various physiotherapy techniques and modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and motivate patients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate patient records.
