A Factory Civil Engineer manages the design, construction, and maintenance of industrial facilities. They oversee structural integrity, floor load capacities, and infrastructure layouts. Core duties include ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, managing project budgets, and coordinating with contractors to minimize operational downtime. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Execution
- Site Development: Plan layouts for new facility buildings, extensions, and equipment foundations in cooperation with manufacturing and production departments.
- Budget & Scheduling: Develop project timelines, calculate labor and material costs, and manage budgets to ensure milestones are met on time.
- Contractor Oversight: Supervise third-party contractors, evaluate bids, and manage contract finalization for facility expansions.
Facility Maintenance & Operations
- Structural Integrity: Conduct regular inspections of factory buildings, warehouses, roofs, and drainage systems to ensure safety and prevent deterioration.
Compliance, Quality & Safety
- Safety Protocols: Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols on-site, ensuring all structures comply with local building codes and factory acts.
- Permitting: Oversee the review and permitting processes with local and national regulatory bodies.
- Quality Control: Conduct material tests and structural surveys to ensure construction quality and compliance with technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Experience: Typically 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial construction, factory planning, or structural maintenance.
- Infrastructure Upgrades: Manage routine and preventative civil maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to ongoing plant manufacturing processes.
- Heavy Equipment Foundations: Design and review specialized civil and structural specifications for heavy machinery, vibrations, and dynamic load requirements.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
