We are hiring for Planning Manager - civil from Construction Industry
Location:Chennai
Exp- 7–15 years of experience in civil construction planning and project controls.
Job Summary:
The Planning Manager is responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling all civil construction activities to ensure timely project completion within budget and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
- Develop baseline schedules, manpower histograms, cash flow, and resource planning.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly.
- Coordinate with site execution teams, procurement, design, and client representatives.
- Identify project delays and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Conduct progress review meetings with stakeholders.
- Track material delivery schedules and subcontractor progress.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, contractual obligations, and company standards.
- Analyze project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Support claims preparation and extension of time (EOT) documentation.
- Review productivity and ensure optimum resource utilization.
- Maintain documentation related to planning and project controls.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and methodologies.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of project budgeting and resource management.
