Job Summary
The Head of Boarding is responsible for the overall administration and management of the college hostels. The role ensures a safe, secure, disciplined, and student-friendly residential environment while overseeing hostel operations, student welfare, staff management, maintenance, security, and compliance with institutional policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesHostel Administration
- Manage the day-to-day operations of all hostel facilities.
- Oversee student admissions, room allotments, and check-in/check-out processes.
- Maintain accurate hostel records and occupancy details.
- Ensure hostel policies and regulations are implemented effectively.
Student Welfare
- Promote the well-being, safety, and discipline of all hostel residents.
- Address student concerns, complaints, and grievances promptly.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive hostel environment.
- Coordinate with parents and college authorities when required.
Staff Management
- Supervise hostel wardens, caretakers, housekeeping, and security staff.
- Prepare duty schedules and monitor staff performance.
- Conduct regular meetings and ensure effective teamwork.
Safety & Security
- Ensure 24/7 safety and security within the hostel premises.
- Monitor emergency preparedness and coordinate emergency response.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Ensure adherence to fire safety and security protocols.
Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Coordinate maintenance and repair works for hostel facilities.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper functioning of utilities.
- Monitor housekeeping standards and hostel infrastructure.
Mess & Food Services
- Supervise hostel mess operations.
- Ensure food quality, hygiene, and timely meal services.
- Address feedback related to food services and coordinate improvements.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with college policies and government regulations.
- Prepare periodic reports on hostel operations.
- Maintain records of incidents, disciplinary actions, and student attendance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hostel, residential, educational institution, or administrative management.
- Experience in managing student residential facilities is preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
