Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to join our dynamic product management team. The Product Owner will play a key role in driving product development, defining product vision, and ensuring that product goals align with business objectives and customer needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in Agile environments, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and agile development teams.
Define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with the product vision, roadmap, and overall business goals.
Collaborate with stakeholders (customers, internal teams, leadership) to gather requirements and translate them into clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Own and refine the backlog continuously, ensuring it reflects evolving business priorities and customer needs.
Lead agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
Drive the agile mindset across teams by promoting incremental delivery, iterative improvements, and customer-centric decision-making.
Partner closely with Product Managers, UX designers, and Engineers to deliver high-quality product increments.
Support go-to-market activities and contribute to the creation of product documentation, including feature overviews, release notes, internal training materials, and customer-facing collateral.
Analyze product performance and customer feedback to identify opportunities for enhancement and innovation.
Ensure that delivered features and products meet business requirements and quality standards through acceptance testing and validation.
Serve as the voice of the customer, ensuring that all product decisions are rooted in delivering value to end users.
Balance business needs with technical feasibility and constraints, facilitating trade-off discussions when necessary.
Maintain a clear, transparent, and communicated product vision and roadmap across teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar product role within Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
Proven experience managing product backlogs, defining user stories, and working closely with Agile development teams.
Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Experience using agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Experience collaborating with UX, engineering, QA, and other teams to deliver high-value solutions.
Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM), or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
Experience in customer-centric product discovery techniques including user research, A/B testing, and design thinking.
Familiarity with road mapping tools like Aha!, ProductBoard, or similar.
Experience using AI-assisted product tools (e.g., Rovo, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) to support user story creation, requirements definition, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
Demonstrated ability to leverage generative AI to improve clarity, speed, and consistency of product artifacts, including user stories, acceptance criteria, release notes, and planning documentation.
Industry experience in Background Screening or Workplace solutions is a plus
