Job Purpose
To respond promptly to fire emergencies, carry out firefighting and rescue operations, maintain firefighting equipment, and support fire prevention activities to ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond immediately to fire alarms, emergencies, and rescue operations.
- Operate and handle firefighting equipment, hoses, extinguishers, hydrants, and breathing apparatus.
- Conduct firefighting, rescue, evacuation, and spill response activities as per emergency procedures.
- Inspect, maintain, and test firefighting equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Participate in fire drills, mock exercises, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Assist in fire prevention inspections and identify unsafe conditions.
- Ensure compliance with company Fire & Safety policies and statutory regulations.
- Maintain records of equipment inspections, incidents, and emergency response activities.
- Perform housekeeping of the fire station and firefighting equipment.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Fire Officer.
Qualification & Experience
- Minimum 10th Pass.
- Certified Fireman Course from a recognized institute.
- Minimum 2 years of industrial firefighting experience.
- Physically fit and medically suitable.
- Experience in handling firefighting equipment and emergency response.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of firefighting techniques and emergency response.
- Ability to operate firefighting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Good physical fitness and endurance.
- Teamwork and effective communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of industrial safety practices.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including nights and holidays.
- Exposure to emergency situations and adverse weather conditions.
- Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
