Job Description
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer / Interior Designer to join our growing furniture manufacturing team in Faridabad. The ideal candidate will be passionate about designing functional, aesthetically pleasing, and market-relevant furniture pieces that combine innovation, comfort, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and sales to understand project requirements and design objectives.
- Conduct research on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor offerings to inform design concepts and product development strategies.
- Develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing furniture designs that meet functional requirements, ergonomic standards, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Create detailed sketches, renderings, and 3D models to visualize design concepts and communicate ideas effectively.
- Work closely with product engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure design integrity, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness throughout the development process.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and textures to enhance the visual appeal and durability of furniture designs, considering sustainability and environmental impact.
- Participate in prototype reviews, design critiques, and product testing sessions to evaluate design concepts and iterate on improvements.
- Stay updated on emerging design trends, industry innovations, and technological advancements relevant to furniture design and interior architecture.
- Provide design support for marketing initiatives, including photo shoots, product catalogs, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with external partners such as suppliers, vendors, and design agencies to source materials, components, and design services as needed.
- Visit customer sites to understand their specific requirements, assess spatial constraints, and provide personalized design recommendations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Freshers or 2-3 years of experience working as an Interior Designer / Furniture Designer in the furniture manufacturing industry.
- Exceptional freshers with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D rendering tools (KeyShot, 3ds Max, etc.).
- Solid understanding of furniture construction techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent visual and spatial awareness with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work efficiently under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Passion for design innovation, sustainability, and continuous learning in the field of interior design and furniture manufacturing.
