Position: Resident Engineer – Video Conferencing (VC)
Role Overview
The Resident Engineer – VC will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and technical support of Video Conferencing (VC) infrastructure across NIC District Centres on a PAN India basis. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating with OEMs, and ensuring seamless video conferencing services.
Key Responsibilities
Arrange and facilitate Video Conferencing meetings at various locations using PeopleLink VC devices.
Handle support calls from NIC District Centres across PAN India related to PeopleLink Video Conferencing systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot VC connectivity issues to ensure uninterrupted communication.
Troubleshoot issues related to Interactive Panels, LED TVs, and display devices connected with the VC system.
Provide technical support for software-based VC platforms, including:
Bharat VC
Google Meet
Webex
Microsoft Teams (if required)
Other standard VC applications
Diagnose and resolve issues related to PTZ Cameras, Microphones, Codecs, Speakers, and other VC peripherals.
Coordinate with OEMs such as PeopleLink and Promark for escalation and timely resolution of technical issues at NIC District Centres.
Maintain detailed records of ongoing issues, resolutions, and progress reports.
Troubleshoot and support IT hardware-related issues and perform installation/configuration of IT equipment whenever required.
Prepare and submit weekly reports covering:
Issues raised by NIC District Centres
Actions taken
Current status and pending cases
Resolution timelines
Required Skills
Good knowledge of Video Conferencing systems and AV equipment.
Hands-on experience with VC hardware such as Codecs, PTZ Cameras, Microphones, and Displays.
Familiarity with software VC platforms like Bharat VC, Google Meet, Webex, and Microsoft Teams.
Basic networking knowledge for diagnosing connectivity issues.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good communication and coordination abilities with customers and OEM support teams.
Ability to maintain technical documentation and reports.
Preferred Qualification
Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Experience in Video Conferencing, Audio-Visual systems, or IT Infrastructure support is preferred
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
