Your Role:
Your role is to do a strategic planning and execution for international fundraising growth. You will drive end to end development and implementation of relevant fundraising and donor relationship programmes.
This role leads the overseas fundraising strategy to achieve annual targets and expand international donor partnerships. It focuses on building strong donor relationships, driving high-quality proposals and stewardship, and strengthening team capability.
Key Deliverables:
- Strategy and Planning – Develop and execute a comprehensive overseas fundraising strategy aligned with organisational priorities.
- Identify and cultivate new international funding opportunities across key geographies. Set annual fundraising targets and drive achievement through structured planning and execution.
- Donor and Partner Engagement – Build and manage long-term relationships with overseas individual donors, family foundations, trusts, and institutional funders. Lead donor engagement efforts including proposals, reports, presentations, and stewardship.
- Team Leadership – Lead and mentor the overseas fundraising team, providing strategic direction and performance guidance.
- Build team capability in donor communication, proposal writing, and relationship management.
- Foster collaboration with internal teams (programmes, finance, compliance, communications).
- Compliance & Governance – Ensure all overseas fundraising activities comply with FCRA and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with finance and legal teams to ensure transparent reporting and donor accountability.
- Maintain high standards of ethics, governance, and donor confidence.
- Data, Reporting & Insights – Track fundraising performance, donor pipelines, and engagement metrics.
- Use donor insights and trends to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
You:
You must be a Graduate / Post-Graduate, preferably an MBA with 9-11 years’ experience of which at least 5 to 6 years in leading direct marketing operations and/or key account management in the service sector. Must have strong strategic planning and execution skills for international fundraising growth, proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and global donor relationships, excellent communication and storytelling for overseas audiences, financial acumen to track targets, ROI, and performance.
