The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a medical weight loss clinic. The RN supports physicians and advanced practice providers in delivering evidence-based weight management treatments, including patient assessments, medication administration, education, lifestyle coaching, and ongoing monitoring. The RN plays a key role in helping patients achieve their weight loss goals while ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional patient care.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, including medical history, vital signs, BMI, and body composition measurements.
Monitor patient progress throughout individualized weight loss programs.
Administer prescribed medications and injections (e.g., GLP-1 medications, vitamin injections, lipotropic injections) according to provider orders and clinic protocols.
Monitor patients for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions.
Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens as required.
Review laboratory results and communicate concerns to the provider
