Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operation Theatre before surgical procedures.
- Arrange and check surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during procedures.
- Maintain strict aseptic and infection-control practices.
- Ensure proper sterilization, disinfection, and handling of instruments.
- Check the availability and functionality of OT equipment.
- Assist with patient positioning and safe transfer of patients.
- Maintain proper records of surgical procedures, instruments, and consumables.
- Ensure proper counting of instruments, needles, and surgical items before and after procedures.
- Handle and dispose of biomedical waste according to hospital protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the OT between procedures.
- Report equipment issues, shortages, or other concerns to the concerned supervisor.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology.
- Relevant certification from a recognized institution.
- 1–3 years of experience in an Operation Theatre (preferred).
