ABOUT THE TEAM & ROLE:
The production engineering team is responsible for the smooth operation and security of the production infrastructure. We strive to excel and continuously improve on key operational pillars (Reliability, Security, Observability, Elasticity, and Governance). We design, build, and operate Product tech cloud infrastructure and supporting platforms to provide a flawless customer experience.
This role will contribute to:
● Reliability, availability, and security of the critical database infrastructure at AWS (MySQL, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis).
● Observing, identifying, and correcting performance and scale bottlenecks of these databases.
● Automating and codifying repetitive operations and providing self-service tools.
● De-risking data availability using highly consistent data backup and restore methods.
What qualities are we looking for?
● Familiarity with software engineering practices including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
● An interest in building internal products with other engineers as your customers.
● Track record of building self-service and high-quality platforms for developers with a customer-driven mindset.
● Curiosity about how things work and a love for sharing that knowledge with others.
● 1–3 years of professional experience in a software environment.
● B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college.
What you should have?
● Hands-on experience with datastores like MySQL and PostgreSQL on AWS or similar infrastructure platforms.
● Hands-on experience driving major version upgrades on MySQL is preferred.
● Hands-on experience with datastore management principles and practices (availability, backup management, performance management, security, proactive monitoring, encryption, etc.).
● Experience in building and operating large distributed datastore infrastructure.
● Understanding of operating systems, virtualization, and containerization.
● Hands-on coding experience in languages like Bash, Python, or Go.
● Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
