Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to support our recruitment and staffing business. The intern will assist in identifying potential clients, conducting market research, generating leads, initiating outreach, and following up with prospects. The role is suitable for someone who is interested in sales, client acquisition, business communication, and service-based business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research prospective clients across relevant industries and sectors.
- Build and maintain a database of potential clients, including HR, Admin, Procurement, and other decision-makers.
- Support outbound business development activities through cold emails, calls, WhatsApp outreach, and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with prospective clients for introductory discussions and business enquiries.
- Share company profile, service details, and introductory proposals with potential clients.
- Maintain and update lead trackers, enquiry registers, and daily sales MIS reports.
- Follow up on pending responses, proposals, and client discussions in a timely manner.
- Assist in market mapping and competitor research to support business expansion.
- Ensure proper documentation of leads, conversations, and opportunity status in internal records.
- Work closely with the internal team to support client conversion and onboarding efforts.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Currently pursuing or recently completed graduation in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Management, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in professional email drafting and client follow-up.
- Basic understanding of sales, lead generation, and client handling.
- Comfortable using MS Excel, Google Sheets, email, and internet-based research.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Basic knowledge of B2B sales or recruitment services.
- Ability to conduct online research and identify relevant business opportunities.
- Strong follow-up ability and professional communication etiquette.
- Familiarity with CRM or lead-tracking processes will be an added advantage.
