We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to oversee and manage all construction activities at our real estate project sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction work is executed according to approved drawings, quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines. The role requires strong technical expertise, site management skills, contractor coordination, and leadership to ensure successful project delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite Execution
- Supervise and manage all day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure execution of RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, finishing, and external development works as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor construction progress and ensure work is completed within scheduled timelines.
- Resolve technical issues arising during project execution.
Project Planning & Monitoring
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Track project milestones and identify delays with corrective action plans.
- Coordinate site activities to achieve project completion targets.
- Monitor productivity of contractors and labour teams.
Contractor & Vendor Management
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, labour teams, and vendors.
- Verify work quantities and certify contractor bills.
- Coordinate material delivery with procurement and stores departments.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure all construction activities comply with approved drawings, IS Codes, and company quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and maintain quality records.
- Monitor concrete work, reinforcement, shuttering, finishing, and MEP-related civil activities.
- Minimize rework through regular quality checks.
Site Coordination
- Coordinate with Architects, Structural Consultants, MEP Consultants, Surveyors, and Project Management Consultants.
- Attend project review meetings and provide technical updates.
- Ensure all work is executed according to approved BOQs and specifications.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety regulations and company HSE policies at the site.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by workers and contractors.
- Report and investigate any site incidents or unsafe conditions.
Documentation
- Maintain Daily Progress Reports (DPR).
- Prepare work completion reports and site inspection records.
- Maintain measurement books (MB), material reconciliation reports, cube test reports, and site registers.
- Review and maintain as-built drawings and project documentation.
Cost Control
- Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
- Assist in project cost control by monitoring execution against BOQ.
- Verify contractor measurements before billing.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 7–12 years of experience in residential, commercial, township, or high-rise real estate construction.
- Proven experience handling complete site execution independently.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of RCC structures, finishing works, and construction methodologies.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of quantity estimation and billing verification.
- Familiarity with IS Codes, National Building Code (NBC), and construction safety practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Project, and construction project management software.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in high-rise residential or commercial building construction.
- Knowledge of project scheduling and planning.
- Experience coordinating with consultants and government authorities.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors simultaneously.
