About the Internship
We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on exposure to product design, injection moulding, composites manufacturing, and 3D printing. The selected candidate will work closely with experienced engineers and receive structured guidance to develop practical design and manufacturing skills while supporting ongoing batch production activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates who want real-world experience in product development and manufacturing.
Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Design
- Assist in creating and modifying 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Support product design and development activities.
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and design documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and engineering discussions.
- Help optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
Injection Moulding Production
- Support ongoing batch production activities.
- Assist in mould setup, process monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor production quality and maintain production records.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams to improve efficiency.
Composites Manufacturing
- Assist in composite part fabrication and assembly.
- Support material preparation, layup, curing, trimming, and finishing processes.
- Help maintain process documentation and quality records.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
3D Printing & Prototyping
- Prepare files for 3D printing and prototype development.
- Operate and maintain 3D printers under supervision.
- Perform post-processing and quality checks on printed parts.
- Support rapid prototyping for product development projects.
General Engineering Support
- Conduct basic engineering calculations and research.
- Assist in inventory tracking of materials and consumables.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Support cross-functional projects as required.

RequirementsEducational Qualification
- Pursuing or recently completed a Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Product Design
- Related engineering disciplines
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as:
- SolidWorks
- Fusion 360
- Creo
- CATIA
- Inventor
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes is desirable.
- Interest in product development and prototyping.
Personal Attributes

Preferred (Not Mandatory)
- Prior experience with CAD modelling projects.

- Participation in Formula Student, Baja, SAE, robotics, or maker projects.
Internship Details
- Duration: 3–6 months (flexible)
- Location: Bengaluru
- Working Hours: 8-9hr
- Potential for full-time employment based on performance.
Ideal Candidate
We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, willing to work hands-on in manufacturing, and interested in building strong mechanical design and product development skills under mentorship.
