- Extensive knowledge of end-to-end S. payroll processing for businesses of varying sizes.
- Strong understanding of tax obligations for sole proprietorships, partnerships, LLCs, S-Corporations, and C-Corporations.
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and filing IRS payroll and tax forms such as:
- Form W-2 (Wage and Tax Statement)
- Form W-4 (Employee’s Withholding Certificate)
- Form 941 (Employer’s Quarterly Federal Tax Return)
- Form 940 (Federal Unemployment Tax Return)
- Form 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC
- Ability to ensure accurate tax filings, meet IRS deadlines, and support tax compliance
- Worked closely with software engineers, product managers, QA teams, and business analysts to translate payroll and accounting requirements into software features.
- Participated in requirement gathering, user story creation, feature validation, and acceptance testing.
- Provided subject matter expertise on payroll, accounting, and tax compliance during product development.
- Collaborated on system enhancements, process automation, and compliance-related product updates.
- Assisted in troubleshooting production issues and ensuring software functionality aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Business or related field
- Experience in software development and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- 3-5 years of Project Management experience
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
