Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain CNC machines for precision manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for producing quality components as per engineering drawings, maintaining production targets, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operations
- Operate CNC Turning Centers, CNC Milling Machines, VMCs, HMCs, or other CNC equipment as assigned.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
- Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make minor adjustments when required.
- Conduct first-piece inspection before mass production.
Quality Control
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and process sheets.
- Measure components using Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Ensure products meet dimensional and quality specifications.
- Identify defects and report quality issues immediately.
Production Management
- Achieve daily production targets as assigned.
- Minimize machine downtime and material wastage.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Follow production schedules and work instructions.
Machine Maintenance
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
- Report machine breakdowns, abnormal noises, tool wear, or operational issues.
- Ensure proper tool management and machine housekeeping.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Use PPE and maintain a safe working environment.
- Comply with ISO, Quality Management Systems, and workplace regulations.
Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, Machinist, Turner, or equivalent.
- 1–5 years of experience operating CNC Machines.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications may also be considered.
- Knowledge of CNC programming basics will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of GD&T and dimensional tolerances.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments.
- Basic understanding of CNC machine programming and offsets.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in shifts.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Automotive, Aerospace, Engineering, Heavy Machinery, Precision Components, or Manufacturing Industries.
- Hands-on experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Haas controllers.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift materials as per operational requirements.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and rotational shifts.
