Job DescriptionRole: Textile Designer – Product & Market Analyst
Location: Delhi
Key Responsibilities1. Product Design & Development
- Develop new fabric designs, patterns, and collections aligned with brand positioning.
- Work closely with weaving, dyeing, and production teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Create seasonal design concepts based on domestic and export market trends.
- Ensure product innovation in terms of texture, color, and finish.
- Checking and approving samples and QC of completed orders
- Proactive vendor sourcing for various requirements, be it raw material, finishing processes, fabric treatments, dyeing, printing and other techniques
2. Market Research & Trend Analysis
- Conduct detailed market research on:
- Customer buying behavior
- Competitor product offerings
- Pricing strategies
- Track industry trends, fashion forecasts, and textile innovations.
- Analyze demand patterns across different markets (local/export).
3. Product & Range Planning
- Align new product developments with business requirements and sales projections.
- Support in creating product mix strategies (premium vs volume-driven products).
- Identify fast-moving designs and recommend scaling production.
4. Customer & Buyer Insights
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to understand buyer feedback.
- Customize designs based on key customer requirements.
- Support in sample development for buyers and exhibitions.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare reports including:
- Product performance analysis
- Market demand trends
- Design success/failure insights
- Track design-wise sales data and recommend improvements.
- Work with MIS/ERP systems for product tracking and reporting.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with:
- Production teams for execution
- Merchandising for order alignment
- Marketing for product positioning
- Ensure timely design approvals and sample submissions.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong textile design knowledge (weaving, fabrics, yarns)
- Market analysis & data interpretation skills
- Trend forecasting ability
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator,Ned graphics, Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop)
- Analytical thinking with business orientation
- Strong coordination and communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree textile / Diploma in Textile Design
- Additional knowledge in market analytics or business studies is an advantage
Experience
- 3–8 years in textile design / product development / market analysis
- Experience in weaving/textile manufacturing industry preferred
Pay: ₹25,000.86 - ₹45,535.36 per month
