Role: Design Mentor

HashHackCode is looking for a Part-time Design Mentor to teach digital design online and support diverse learners through creative technology education. If you enjoy design, visual thinking, and helping students express ideas creatively, this role is for you.
Your roles and responsibilities:
- Online Mentoring: Teach design through practical, activity-based lessons.
- Creative Guidance: Help students create posters, cards, layouts, social media creatives, presentations, and simple brand designs.
- Tool Support: Guide learners in using Canva or other beginner-friendly design tools.
- Design Basics: Teach typography, color, shapes, layout, spacing, and visual balance in a simple way.
- Student Support: Help students with doubts, homework, class tasks, and creative projects.
- Progress Updates: Share regular updates on student progress, challenges, and completed work.
What we require:
- Design knowledge: Basic understanding of graphic design fundamentals.
- Tool familiarity: Experience with Canva, Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools is a plus.
- Patient communicator: Ability to explain design steps clearly and simply.
- Passion for inclusion: A genuine interest in helping diverse learners build creative confidence.
- Reliable setup: Functional laptop and high-speed internet connection.
- Availability: Minimum commitment of 1 hour per day.
- Degree is not mandatory: We value creativity, skills, attitude, and willingness to learn.

Hiring Process:
Stage 1: Assessment
Stage 2: Mock Class
Stage 3: Training
After successful completion of training, part-time payment will be based on completed classes per student. Students will be assigned based on performance, availability, and training readiness.
