Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Steel Detailer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with structural engineers, project managers, and fabricators to create comprehensive 3D models, shop (fabrication) drawings, and erection plans based on contract documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- 3D Modeling: Create accurate 3D models of structural steel frameworks (beams, columns, braces, trusses) and miscellaneous metals (stairs, ladders, railings) using specialized BIM software. [1]
- Fabrication Drawings: Produce highly detailed shop drawings that include exact member dimensions, cut locations, and bolt/weld specifications for manufacturers.
- Erection Plans: Generate clear field erection drawings for steel erectors to safely and correctly assemble the structure on site.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Drafting.
- Experience: 2-3 years experience in structural steel detailing. Freshers with relevant CAD/BIM training may apply for junior trainee roles.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structures or Revit.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of fabrication shop practices, welding symbols, and field erection processes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent visualization skills, strong communication, and the ability to meet strict project deadlines.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
