The Center Head is responsible for the overall operations of the chess centre, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth administration, student satisfaction, and business growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the centre.
- Maintain student attendance and records.
- Ensure classrooms are clean and ready before every session.
- Supervise front desk and support staff.
Parent & Student Support
- Handle parent enquiries professionally.
- Guide new parents about courses, fees, and schedules.
- Follow up with trial class students.
- Maintain excellent parent relationships.
Fee Management
- Collect fees and maintain payment records.
- Follow up on pending fees.
- Generate fee reports.
Staff Management
- Coordinate coaches and support staff.
- Prepare weekly schedules.
- Monitor staff attendance and performance.
- Ensure all staff follow SSK Chess Centre standards.
Business Development
- Increase student admissions.
- Coordinate school programs and promotional activities.
- Follow up on enquiries and convert them into admissions.
- Maintain strong customer satisfaction.
Communication
- Reply to WhatsApp messages and phone calls.
- Coordinate tournaments, workshops, and special events.
- Send announcements and reminders to parents.
Reporting
Submit daily reports including:
- Student attendance
- New enquiries
- Admissions
- Fee collection
- Pending work
- Issues requiring management attention
Skills Required
- Good communication skills in English and Tamil.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (Google Sheets, Excel, WhatsApp, Email).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate (preferred)
- Experience in education, coaching centres, or customer service is an advantage.
- Leadership or team management experience is preferred.
Working Hours
- As per centre schedule.
- Weekend availability required during classes, tournaments, and events.

- Introduce and manage new after-school programs such as Dance, Karate, Abacus, Art, Drawing, Music, Robotics, Public Speaking, and other enrichment activities.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the centre's programs.
- Coordinate promotional events, workshops, and demo classes.
- Follow up on enquiries and convert them into admissions.
- Develop community relationships to increase brand awareness and student enrollment.
Program Development
- Plan, launch, and manage new after-school activity programs.
- Recruit and coordinate instructors for various activities.
- Schedule classes and ensure smooth program execution.
- Monitor program quality and parent satisfaction.
- Work towards increasing student participation across all activity programs.
This role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of the entire centre, solve problems independently, lead the team, and ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of SSK Chess Centre.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
