Job Responsibilities
Deliver data-driven insights that inform talent strategies, workforce planning, and organizational decision-making. Support the design, development, and delivery of workforce analytics, dashboards, reports, forecasting models, and predictive insights that measure the impact of HR programs and enable business leaders to make data-driven decisions.
Partner with HR, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable analytics, identify workforce trends, and develop scalable reporting solutions. Drive continuous improvement through automation, data governance, and advanced analytics initiatives while helping build a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
This role requires strong analytical and technical expertise, intellectual curiosity, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into compelling stories and actionable recommendations.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Syneos HR data, workforce metrics, systems, and reporting structures.
Partner with HRBPs, COEs, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into analytical solutions and insights.
Conduct advanced workforce analysis across the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance, engagement, retention, turnover, diversity, and organizational effectiveness.
Develop workforce forecasts and scenario-based analyses to support hiring strategies, capacity planning, and business decision-making.
Support the development, validation, and enhancement of predictive analytics models related to attrition, hiring demand, workforce trends, and talent outcomes.
Analyze and integrate data from multiple sources, including Workday, Power BI, Databricks, survey platforms, Excel, and other enterprise systems to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities.
Build, enhance, automate, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports using Power BI, Workday, Excel, and other reporting tools.
Present actionable insights and recommendations to HR and business leaders through effective data storytelling and visualization techniques.
Support Business Development (BD) and Proposal activities by providing workforce analytics, market intelligence, staffing assumptions, and data-driven insights that support pricing strategies and client expectations.
Support key HR initiatives, including talent reviews, succession planning, performance management, engagement surveys, compensation analysis, and strategic workforce planning.
Partner with HRIS, IT, and data teams to improve data governance, data quality, metric definitions, and reporting consistency across platforms.
Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and streamline workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
Develop and maintain reporting documentation, metric definitions, data dictionaries, process maps, and user guides to support transparency and consistency.
Promote data literacy and self-service analytics by enabling stakeholders to access, understand, and leverage workforce data effectively.
Collaborate closely with team members to share knowledge, mentor junior analysts, solve complex business problems, and deliver best-in-class workforce analytics solutions.
- Bachelor's degree required in Data Science, Information Management, Human Resources, I/O Psychology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in HR analytics, workforce analytics, people analytics, workforce planning, or related reporting and analytical roles, preferably within a global or matrixed organization.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, visualization design, and DAX.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and automation techniques.
Experience with Workday reporting and workforce data management strongly preferred.
Experience working with SQL, Databricks, data warehouses, or enterprise data platforms preferred.
Strong understanding of workforce analytics, workforce planning, talent acquisition metrics, attrition analysis, organizational effectiveness, and talent management reporting.
Knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting methodologies, hypothesis testing, predictive analytics, and research methods (e.g., regression analysis, correlation analysis, significance testing).
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling business narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong partnerships across HR, business, and technical teams.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive projects from concept through implementation.
Collaborative mindset with a commitment to teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving business requirements.
