Senior General Manager - IT Infrastructure should have a natural flair for ensuring seamless operations across all IT infrastructure components, from routers to end-user devices, from EPABX to AV systems. This role is responsible for ensuring 99.99% uptime of all IT devices and services across Awfis business centres, driving technology strategy, security, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Infrastructure & Security Management :
Plan, execute, and maintain 99.99% uptime for all IT devices (servers, firewalls, UTM, switches, IoT, etc.) and services (printing, video conferencing, internet, HVAC systems, call centre, etc.) across all centres.
Develop and implement IT security policies, backups, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard business operations.
Actively track new industry trends and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and service reliability.
Ensure real-time monitoring and reporting of all IT services and systems, including periodic performance reports for stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management :
Recruit, train, and lead a team of IT Managers and Engineers to achieve key performance objectives.
Ensure IT teams adhere to KRAs and maintain high service delivery standards.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet defined SLAs and provide cost-effective solutions.
Ensure responsive client support and maintain a high satisfaction index for internal and external customers.
Procurement & Cost Optimization :
Oversee IT procurement strategy, ensuring cost-effective purchasing with robust after-sales service.
Continuously optimize cost per unit through strategic negotiations and scalability.
Manage IT asset inventory, maintenance, allocation, insurance, and accounting efficiently.
Technology & Compliance Expertise :
Lead networking, systems management, and IT infrastructure delivery to support business growth.
Design, deploy, and manage firewalls, routers, WiFi, EPABX, CCTV, Door Access Systems, Servers, AD, DS, LDAP, Web, DNS, Mail, and NFS.
Implement best practices for cloud computing architectures (Private/Hybrid Cloud), disaster recovery, network security, and compliance.
Oversee software upgrades, patching, identity management, and IT security solutions to maintain compliance.
Requirements
Strong expertise in networking, infrastructure management, and IT operations.
Proven ability to recruit, train, and manage IT teams, ensuring high service delivery.
Hands-on experience in setting up systems, routers, firewalls, user rights management, and IT security solutions.
Strong understanding of cloud architectures (Private/Hybrid Cloud) and enterprise cloud infrastructure.
Expertise in IT capacity sizing, optimal cost planning, and solution architecture.
Experience in vendor management, ensuring SLA compliance and cost-effective procurement.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to IT decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact across all levels
