Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate project estimates, BOQs, and cost analyses for interior and modular furniture projects. The role involves studying drawings, calculating material requirements, coordinating with vendors, and supporting project planning and budgeting.
Main Responsibilities
- Study drawings, specifications, and project requirements for estimation.
- Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and detailed cost estimates.
- Calculate material, labor, hardware, and production costs.
- Coordinate with design, production, and purchase teams for accurate costing.
- Obtain quotations from vendors and compare pricing.
- Prepare project budgets and support tender submissions.
- Maintain estimation records and project documentation.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without affecting quality.
- Support project planning and execution teams with technical clarifications.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and calculation skills
- Knowledge of interior materials, modular furniture, and production processes
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Software Knowledge
Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Excel
- Basic knowledge of estimation and BOQ preparation tools preferred
Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Interior, or related field
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in estimation or costing
Preferred Experience
- Experience in interior fit-out / modular furniture industry
- Knowledge of site measurements and production costing
