This role provides operational support for non‑employee remote access, including contractors, contingent workers, vendors, and external partners. The position supports enterprise IT operations by coordinating, validating, and tracking remote access, firewall, VPN, and identity‑related requests using Eaton‑approved systems and processes.
The role ensures that non‑employee access requests are complete, compliant, properly documented, and processed through ServiceNow, while coordinating with IT Security, Network Operations, and Identity teams. The position does not approve, grant, or technically configure access.
Key Responsibilities

Non‑Employee Remote Access Support
- Process non‑employee remote access requests using Eaton‑approved ServiceNow forms and workflows
- Collect and validate required request information (sponsor, contracting company, dates, location, justification, systems required) prior to submission
- Support creation and updates of non‑employee identities (e.g., C‑numbers) required for access requests
VPN, Firewall & Identity Coordination
- Submit and track requests for:
o Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) for Eaton‑issued devices
o CheckPoint VPN for non‑Eaton devices
o Firewall and RDP access for approved use cases
- Ensure access requests align with device type, geographic location, and security policy requirements
Access Lifecycle & Compliance
- Monitor request progress and follow up on rejected, stalled, or incomplete submissions
- Support access updates, extensions, and deactivations based on non‑employee end dates
- Ensure access duration and renewal rules are followed in accordance with enterprise identity policies
Documentation & Audit Support
- Maintain accurate records of non‑employee access requests, approvals, and effective dates
- Ensure documentation is complete and available for audit, compliance, or security review
Stakeholder Support
- Serve as an execution support contact for non‑employee access requests
- Assist managers and sponsors by clarifying required steps, request pathways, and access options
- Provide status updates and issue visibility to IT stakeholders
