Laptop Service Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Laptop Service Engineer to join our service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laptops and desktop computers while ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction. Candidates with strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused approach are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Laptop & Desktop Service
- Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in laptops and desktop computers.
- Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and required software.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on serviced and refurbished systems.
- Conduct functional testing before delivering devices to customers.
- Candidates with chip-level repair experience will have an added advantage.
Service Documentation
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
- Record device configurations and accessories received during service.
- Follow standard service procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
Customer Support
- Provide customers with updates regarding service status and expected delivery timelines.
- Explain technical issues and repair solutions in a clear and professional manner.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely completion of service requests.
Requirements
- Experience in laptop and desktop hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Good knowledge of Windows installation, software configuration, and driver installation.
- Basic understanding of hardware diagnostics and preventive maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills in Tamil. Basic English communication is preferred.
- Ability to maintain accurate service records and work independently.
- Candidates should be willing to work from Kovilambakkam, Chennai.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in chip-level servicing.
- Knowledge of motherboard diagnostics and component replacement.
- Familiarity with customer service best practices.
