Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wireman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and wiring, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role is essential for ensuring the proper installation and maintenance of electrical components, contributing to the overall safety and functionality of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring systems in accordance with local codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters to perform various tasks related to electrical installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of wiring systems.
- Work with low voltage systems as required, ensuring all components are functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions for electrical problems.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, including the use of voltmeters and ohmmeters for testing circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Experience with low voltage wiring systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
