The Senior Executive – Logistics & Shipping Marketing is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients, promoting the company's logistics and shipping services, and achieving sales and revenue targets. The role requires strong industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide customized logistics solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies to increase revenue and market share.
- Identify and acquire new customers in freight forwarding, shipping, transportation, warehousing, and logistics services.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Prepare competitive quotations, proposals, and service agreements based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate with operations, customer service, and documentation teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
- Conduct regular client visits, presentations, and business meetings to promote company services.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify new business opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close business deals while maintaining company profitability.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and business forecasts using CRM systems.
- Participate in trade exhibitions, networking events, and industry meetings to enhance business visibility.
- Prepare periodic sales reports, market intelligence reports, and performance updates for management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, international shipping regulations, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- MBA in Marketing or Logistics is an added advantage.
Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or supply chain sales and marketing.
- Experience in international freight, customs clearance, NVOCC, shipping lines, or logistics services is preferred.
