To manage and supervise the complete Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), vehicle preparation, stockyard management, and delivery readiness process, ensuring that every vehicle delivered to the customer meets the required quality, safety, cleanliness, documentation, and dealership standards.
1. Pre-Delivery Inspection
- Conduct and supervise detailed PDI of all new vehicles received from the manufacturer.
- Ensure inspection is carried out according to OEM / Tata Motors PDI standards and checklists.
- Check vehicle exterior, interior, electrical systems, mechanical components, tyres, battery, fluids, accessories, and safety equipment.
- Identify and report manufacturing defects, transportation damages, scratches, dents, missing items, warning lights, and other abnormalities.
- Ensure all defects are properly recorded and rectified before vehicle delivery.
2. Vehicle Stockyard Management
- Maintain proper arrangement and systematic parking of vehicles in the stockyard.
- Ensure vehicles are parked safely and movement is properly controlled.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle location, chassis number, registration status, PDI status, and delivery status.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification.
- Ensure vehicles are protected from environmental damage and unauthorized access.
3. Vehicle Preparation for Delivery
- Coordinate vehicle cleaning, washing, polishing and detailing.
- Ensure fitment of approved accessories and required vehicle items.
- Verify tool kits, spare wheels/tyres, mats, manuals, warranty documents and other accessories.
- Ensure the vehicle is in 100% delivery-ready condition before handing it over to the Sales/Delivery team.
4. Damage & Defect Control
- Immediately identify and document transit/yard damages.
- Coordinate with the concerned departments for damage assessment and rectification.
- Maintain records of damaged vehicles and repair status.
- Ensure no damaged or defective vehicle is released for customer delivery without proper approval.
5. Coordination
- Coordinate closely with:
- Sales Department
- Service Department
- Accessories Department
- Warranty Team
- Registration Team
- Insurance Team
- Vehicle Logistics / Transport Team
- OEM / Tata Motors representatives
- Ensure smooth movement of vehicles from inward → PDI → repair/rectification → detailing → delivery.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain PDI checklists and inspection records.
- Maintain daily vehicle inward and outward records.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly PDI reports.
- Track pending defects and rectification status.
- Maintain records of vehicle damages, repairs, accessories and delivery readiness.
- Ensure all vehicle-related documents are properly maintained and updated.
7. Team Management
- Supervise PDI technicians, vehicle evaluators, drivers and support staff.
- Allocate daily work and monitor productivity.
- Train team members on PDI procedures, vehicle quality standards and safety requirements.
- Ensure discipline, attendance, grooming and proper work practices within the team.
- Conduct regular review meetings and performance monitoring.
8. Quality & Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure Zero-Defect / Zero-Complaint delivery as far as practically possible.
- Conduct final quality checks before vehicle delivery.
- Ensure customer vehicles are delivered in clean, safe and excellent condition.
- Investigate PDI-related customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
9. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with dealership and OEM safety procedures.
- Maintain safe driving and vehicle movement practices within the premises.
- Ensure proper use of PPE wherever required.
- Prevent unauthorized vehicle movement and key handling.
- Report accidents, damages and safety incidents immediately to management.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
