About the Role:
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and coordinate housekeeping functions for assigned facility / property; analyse and plan complex housekeeping programs and schedules ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, supplies and equipment for subsequent performance of duties. Recommend solutions for operational problems in work schedules, non-routine service, personnel utilization and non-scheduled jobs . Recommend policies and procedures for housekeeping operations; plan and conduct meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies and to keep employees abreast of current standards and procedures. Recommend guidelines to determine acceptable cleanliness levels for the premises; monitor and participate in inspections. Train employees in proper housekeeping procedures and appropriate performance of duties; analyse training needs and determine most effective course of action to address deficiencies. Evaluate and make recommendations concerning cleaning products and equipment. Order and maintain sufficient inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment. Assist with determining fiscal requirements and preparing departmental budget Prepare periodic reports and analysis setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Ensure Housekeeping personnel maintain uniform and personal hygiene standards. Monitor all Emergency Procedures. Reviewing and ownership of escalation matrix and business continuity plans.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages planning, organization, and controls the portfolio. Responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training. Communication Skills Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Financial Knowledge Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages. Reasoning Ability Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Other Skills & Abilities Intermediate skills with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY Decisions made with a general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may have long term impact on the department.
