The Forging Operator is responsible for operating forging machines, power presses, furnaces, trimming presses, and related equipment to manufacture high-quality forged fasteners and components as per production and quality standards. The role includes machine setup, heating and handling raw materials, monitoring forging parameters, performing in-process inspections, and ensuring smooth production flow while following all safety procedures. The operator must maintain production targets, minimize rejection and downtime, inspect forged parts using gauges and measuring instruments, and coordinate with maintenance and quality departments for process improvements. The position also requires maintaining cleanliness of the work area, following 5S practices, recording production data, identifying defects, and ensuring proper handling of dies, tools, and materials. Candidates should have knowledge of forging operations, machine handling, basic measuring instruments, and industrial safety practices. ITI/Diploma or experience in forging/manufacturing industries is preferred.
