Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
Work Mode: Full-time, in-office
Experience:Minimum 3 years of experience
CTC: Ranges anywhere between Rs 3,60,000 to Rs 5,00,000- Based on experience, showreel quality, editing skill, creative taste, speed, and test assignment performance.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Video Editor who understands that great branded content is not just visually polished — it needs to be sharp, engaging, well-paced, and aligned with the brand’s objective.
At Framed Productions, editing is not only about cutting clips together. It is about rhythm, music, pacing, product focus, visual flow, brand positioning, and making content that works across digital platforms.
You will work on commercial films, fashion content, product videos, hospitality films, lifestyle campaigns, reels, digital ads, BTS edits, and social-first content.
This role is for someone who has strong editing taste, understands modern visual culture, and can work within a structured post-production workflow while still bringing fresh ideas to the edit.
About Framed Productions
Framed Productions is the commercial storytelling arm of Framed.
We create thoughtful, visually driven content across fashion, lifestyle, hospitality, product, interiors, corporate, and brand storytelling. From cinematic ad films and launch campaigns to social-first reels and digital commercials, our work blends aesthetics with clear communication.
We’re building a team that cares deeply about visual storytelling, craft, experimentation, consistency, and creating work that stands out creatively — not just algorithmically.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Video Editing
- Edit commercial videos across fashion, product, hospitality, lifestyle, corporate, and brand storytelling projects.
- Translate creative briefs into clean, engaging, and visually strong edits.
- Build edits with strong pacing, rhythm, music sync, and visual flow.
- Ensure the edit communicates the brand/product clearly while still feeling visually elevated.
- Adapt editing style depending on the project — campaign film, reel, product edit, interview, BTS, or social media content.
- Create multiple format versions when required, such as vertical reels, horizontal films, cutdowns, and shorter social edits.
2. Social-First & Digital Content Editing
- Edit reels, short-form videos, campaign snippets, and platform-ready social media content.
- Understand hooks, pacing, retention, text overlays, transitions, and music trends.
- Create edits that are suitable for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, websites, and digital campaigns.
- Keep videos crisp, engaging, and aligned with current content consumption behaviour.
- Avoid over-editing or using transitions/effects that do not serve the idea.
3. Creative Post-Production, Templates & AI-Assisted Editing
- Work on basic colour correction, sound balancing, music selection, subtitles, typography, and visual polish.
- Use creative templates, title animations, typography presets, transitions, lower thirds, text callouts, and motion elements where required.
- Customise templates thoughtfully so they feel aligned with the brand and not generic or overused.
- Use AI-assisted tools for editing support, title generation, captions, subtitle workflows, clean-ups, ideation, references, and faster post-production where relevant.
- Coordinate with cinematographers, creative leads, designers, and project teams to achieve the intended look and feel.
- Integrate motion graphics, text, titles, animated typography, and simple visual effects where required.
- Ensure all outputs meet Framed Productions’ quality and brand standards.
- Experiment with new editing styles, references, AI-assisted workflows, and platform-relevant formats.
4. Workflow & Project Discipline
- Organise project files, footage, timelines, exports, and backups properly.
- Follow internal folder structures, naming conventions, export settings, and delivery workflows.
- Work on assigned edits within given timelines.
- Update task status regularly on the company’s project management system.
- Handle feedback and revision rounds carefully.
- Communicate delays, blockers, or missing assets in advance.
- Maintain confidentiality of client footage, brand material, and internal project references.
5. Reference Research & Creative Improvement
- Stay updated with commercial films, fashion videos, product ads, reels, digital campaigns, and internet content formats.
- Research editing references, music styles, transitions, campaign edits, and visual trends.
- Understand what is currently working for brands on social media and digital platforms.
- Adapt relevant ideas to Framed Productions’ style instead of copying trends blindly.
- Maintain a reference bank of strong edits, ads, reels, campaign films, sound design examples, and visual treatments.
- Share useful references and ideas with the team when relevant.
Creative Skills Required
- Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, music, and visual storytelling.
- Good understanding of branded content and digital-first communication.
- Ability to edit videos that feel contemporary, clean, and engaging.
- Understanding of product focus, brand mood, visual hierarchy, and audience attention.
- Ability to work across multiple content styles — cinematic, fast-paced, clean, editorial, premium, playful, or informative.
- Good judgement in music selection, transition use, text placement, and storytelling flow.
- Awareness of social media trends without blindly depending on them.
Technical Skills Required
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools is a plus.
- Basic colour correction and finishing knowledge.
- Basic sound cleanup, music mixing, and audio balancing.
- Ability to create subtitles, text overlays, titles, and simple motion elements.
- Understanding of export settings for Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, websites, and client delivery.
- Ability to work with different formats — vertical, horizontal, square, long-form, and short-form.
- Strong file organisation and timeline management skills.
- Ability to use and customise creative video templates, title packs, typography animations, transitions, and motion presets.
- Basic understanding of motion graphics, animated text, product callouts, lower thirds, and social media title treatments.
- Comfort with AI-assisted editing tools for subtitles, captions, clean-ups, ideation, references, title suggestions, and workflow speed.
- Ability to use templates intelligently without making the edit look generic or templated.
Work Discipline Expected
At Framed Productions, creativity and workflow discipline are equally important.
You will be expected to:
- Maintain clean project files, timelines, folders, exports, and backups.
- Follow internal post-production workflows and naming conventions.
- Respect deadlines and delivery commitments.
- Update project status regularly.
- Take feedback positively and implement changes accurately.
- Avoid careless export, spelling, subtitle, aspect ratio, audio, or versioning errors.
- Ask questions when the brief is unclear instead of assuming.
- Stay organised while handling multiple edits.
- Take ownership of assigned work without repeated follow-ups.
Who This Role Is For
This role is for someone who:
- Enjoys editing commercial and brand-focused content.
- Understands that a good edit must look good and communicate clearly.
- Can balance creativity with deadlines and systems.
- Is comfortable working across ads, reels, product videos, fashion edits, and campaign films.
- Has strong music, pacing, and visual taste.
- Takes feedback well and improves with every project.
- Is organised with files, exports, versions, and timelines.
- Wants to grow as a serious video editor in a creative production company.
- Have experience using Envato, Motion Array, Artlist templates, Premiere Pro templates, After Effects title packs, or similar creative assets.
- Use AI tools to improve editing speed, ideation, captioning, subtitles, clean-ups, and creative experimentation.
- Can create polished title animations, text overlays, product highlights, and social-first graphic treatments.
