Position Overview
We are seeking passionate and nurturing Home Room Teachers (HRTs) for Nursery to Grade 2, who can create a joyful, safe, and engaging classroom environment while building strong foundational literacy, numeracy, and life skills in young learners.
The HRT will act as the primary facilitator of learning, responsible for the overall academic and emotional development of the child.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate, activity-based lessons aligned with curriculum goals
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes inquiry, creativity, and exploration
- Develop foundational skills in language, numeracy, and EVS through integrated learning
- Observe and assess student progress using formative assessment strategies
- Maintain student portfolios and provide regular feedback to parents
- Ensure student well-being, safety, and emotional development
- Integrate storytelling, play-based learning, and hands-on activities in daily teaching
- Collaborate with coordinators and fellow teachers for curriculum planning
- Participate actively in school events, assemblies, and co-curricular activities
- Maintain effective communication with parents through structured channels
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (mandatory)
- B.Ed. or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in Pre-primary or Primary grades
- Strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy and child development

- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to engage young learners with creativity and patience
- Strong observation and assessment capability
- Passion for child-centric and experiential learning approaches
- Basic digital proficiency (Google Classroom, worksheets, presentations, etc.)
