Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to lead and oversee the Accounts and Taxation functions of manufacturing organisation. The candidate will be responsible for supervising the accounting and tax team, ensuring timely compliance, assisting during audits, and supporting overall financial operations of the company.
The role requires strong practical knowledge of accounting, taxation, compliance, and manufacturing industry processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and supervise the accounts & tax team.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, ledger scrutiny, and preparation of financial statements.
- Monitor GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Coordinate and assist internal, statutory, GST, and tax audits.
- Review reconciliations including GST reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and inventory-related accounting.
- Support management in financial reporting and MIS preparation.
- Ensure timely filing of returns and compliance with applicable laws.
- Assist in implementation and monitoring of accounting controls and processes.
- Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and government departments whenever required.
- Guide junior team members and ensure smooth functioning of the department.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and accounting standards.
- Experience in handling audits and financial compliances.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, MS Excel, and accounting software.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in manufacturing accounting and inventory accounting.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities independently.
- Practical approach towards problem-solving and compliance management.
